3D Scanning

If you have a requirement for a mould but no drawings or accurate dimensions we can either 3d scan in house or for more complex objects, work with www.central-scanning.co.uk. This can then be used to produce a mould for reproduction.

3D Printing

If you are unsure of you design we are able to 3D print the mould output prior to production to allow for final verification of design.

Moulding

There really is no limit to what we can mould. For lower volume or small products all tooling is manufactured in house. If the requirement is beyond our tooling capabilities with work with one of our preferred UK based machining partners to produce tooling to a agreed design.

Cast Moulding for Small Batch Silicone Moulds
PXL_20250407_171711659.jpg

Cast moulding is a versatile and cost-effective manufacturing method, making it perfect for small batch production and independent makers. This process is ideal for creating high-quality silicone moulds without the higher tooling costs associated with injection moulding, while still delivering excellent detail and durability.

Liquid silicone is carefully poured into a master mould and cured to form a flexible, long-lasting mould that captures fine detail and smooth finishes. Cast moulding is widely used by UK candle makers, soap makers, and wax melt businesses looking for reliable, professional moulds that suit smaller production runs.

Why Choose Cast Moulding?

Cost-effective mould production for small businesses

Ideal for small batches and limited runs

Durable, reusable silicone moulds

Excellent surface detail and flexibility

Suitable for candles, soaps, wax melts, and craft applications

Perfect for bespoke and made-to-order designs

Cast moulding offers an accessible entry point for growing brands, allowing makers to invest in quality moulds without large upfront costs. It’s a practical solution for businesses that value craftsmanship, flexibility, and long-term performance.

Ideal For

Candle makers and home fragrance brands

Soap makers and bath product businesses

Wax melt and aroma product creators

Start-ups and small UK businesses

By choosing cast moulded silicone moulds, you’re investing in affordable quality, dependable performance, and supporting a UK-based small business that understands the needs of independent makers.

Injection Moulding for Small Batch Silicone Moulds

Injection moulding is a highly advanced manufacturing process used to produce complex, high-precision silicone moulds for professional and industrial applications. Although this method involves a higher initial tooling investment, it delivers outstanding detail accuracy, consistency, and durability, making it ideal for demanding commercial environments.

Using controlled pressure, liquid silicone is injected into a precision-engineered mould cavity, allowing intricate shapes, fine textures, and uniform thickness to be reproduced repeatedly with exceptional accuracy. This process is widely used across construction, architectural detailing, food production, cake manufacturing, confectionery, and specialist industrial sectors.

Key Advantages of Injection Moulding

  • Exceptional dimensional accuracy for complex components

  • Repeatable, consistent results across production runs

  • High-definition surface detail and smooth finishes

  • Durable silicone moulds designed for professional use

  • Suitable for food-safe and industrial-grade silicone materials

  • Ideal for custom and bespoke mould manufacturing in the UK

Injection moulding is particularly well suited to projects where precision, hygiene, and repeatability are critical, such as decorative concrete elements, architectural features, chocolate moulds, cake decorations, and high-volume production components.

Common Applications

  • Construction and architectural moulds

  • Concrete, resin, and plaster casting

  • Cake decoration and sugarcraft moulds

  • Chocolate and confectionery production

  • Industrial and manufacturing components

By investing in injection moulded silicone moulds, businesses benefit from long-term reliability, consistent output, and superior finish quality, making this process a preferred choice for professional manufacturers across the UK.
