Cast Moulding for Small Batch Silicone Moulds

Cast moulding is a versatile and cost-effective manufacturing method, making it perfect for small batch production and independent makers. This process is ideal for creating high-quality silicone moulds without the higher tooling costs associated with injection moulding, while still delivering excellent detail and durability.
Liquid silicone is carefully poured into a master mould and cured to form a flexible, long-lasting mould that captures fine detail and smooth finishes. Cast moulding is widely used by UK candle makers, soap makers, and wax melt businesses looking for reliable, professional moulds that suit smaller production runs.
Why Choose Cast Moulding?
Cost-effective mould production for small businesses
Ideal for small batches and limited runs
Durable, reusable silicone moulds
Excellent surface detail and flexibility
Suitable for candles, soaps, wax melts, and craft applications

Injection Moulding for Small Batch Silicone Moulds

Injection moulding is a highly advanced manufacturing process used to produce complex, high-precision silicone moulds for professional and industrial applications. Although this method involves a higher initial tooling investment, it delivers outstanding detail accuracy, consistency, and durability, making it ideal for demanding commercial environments.

Using controlled pressure, liquid silicone is injected into a precision-engineered mould cavity, allowing intricate shapes, fine textures, and uniform thickness to be reproduced repeatedly with exceptional accuracy. This process is widely used across construction, architectural detailing, food production, cake manufacturing, confectionery, and specialist industrial sectors.
Key Advantages of Injection Moulding
-
Exceptional dimensional accuracy for complex components
-
Repeatable, consistent results across production runs
-
High-definition surface detail and smooth finishes
-
Durable silicone moulds designed for professional use
-
Suitable for food-safe and industrial-grade silicone materials
-
Ideal for custom and bespoke mould manufacturing in the UK
Injection moulding is particularly well suited to projects where precision, hygiene, and repeatability are critical, such as decorative concrete elements, architectural features, chocolate moulds, cake decorations, and high-volume production components.
